Does the power indicator on your subwoofer light up?

Play some music at an adequately loud volume of which you are certain that it is bass-heavy to check if the subwoofer is not generating any sound (e.g. House music, hip-hop). Also note that your remote control has a separate volume button for the Subwoofer.

TV-shows and other content might not be very bass-heavy, and it’s not always easy to assess if the subwoofer is functioning.
