• If the battery is completely empty, it might take about half an hour before the charging LED on the battery's charger lights up.
• If you use a separate battery charger, check if the battery contact points are clean and double-check if all wires are firmly connected to the power outlet and the charger.
• If you directly charge the camera via USB, make sure to:
  1. Turn on the USB power function (consult your camera manual)
  2. Use a working USB charger
  3. Use the supplied USB cable
  A safe test is to connect the camera to a laptop or computer via USB and check if it charges. Some cameras that use USB charging will only start charging when the camera is turned OFF.
• If you have a spare battery or charger, use it to confirm if you can charge other batteries and check if the charger works. Speaking of other batteries, make sure you use original Sony batteries. Third-party manufacturers may not provide an adequate charge or qualitative contacts.
